Bjorn Swanson

Bjorn Swanson is a trombonist and educator based in Salt Lake City. He is currently studying instrumental performance at the University of Utah, where he serves as a teaching assistant for athletic bands. As a teaching assistant, he assists with the instruction of university pep bands and the 160 member 'Marching Utes' marching band. Before this position, Bjorn was a freelance performer and instrumental music teacher based in Iowa City, Iowa.

Bjorn received his Bachelor of Music in Performance and Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from the University of Iowa in 2020. His primary instructors are Dr. Jonathan Allen, Dr. Donn Schaefer, and Mark Davidson.
