Trombonist Jeff Dunn is currently based in Rochester, NY, pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the Eastman School of Music. Previously, he served as a Private Low Brass Instructor for the Tomball Independent School District, where he founded the Tomball Trombone Institute. Jeff has presented guest masterclasses for schools such as Tarleton State University, Hamilton College, and Ithaca College, and presented clinics at the International Trombone Festival and conferences in Texas and New York. He is also published by the International Trombone Association Journal, Noteworthy: the International Women's Brass Conference Newsletter, and Eighth Note Publications. Creating Opportunities for Young Trombonists

We founded the Tomball Trombone Institute to create an opportunity for students and for the greater trombone community. Since then, our annual program has seen increased enrollment, additional divisions added, and provided an opportunity for trombonists to teach others and perform. It is our hope that by sharing our story, we can inspire others to create opportunities in their communities to further our instrument and education.
