Dispatch a battalion of pipers into Baghdad and Saddam's government will agree to every UN demand, no need for bloodshed. Mind you, the Invaders would still be guilty of horrendous war crimes. A. Any ideas would be greatly appreciate. It could also be Bass Trombone and Tenor Trombone or Alto Trombone and Tenor Trombone. Many Thanks Bart Roberts Houston, Texas ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 21 Dec 2002 13:34:39 -0600 From: R Miller Subject: Trombones, slides, bells for sale I am helping Mark Fisher of the Chicago Lyric Opera Orchestra sell off some of his excess trombone inventory. He has some very interesting stuff. I thought I would send this list to "The List" before any of it hits Ebay. Please e-mail me if you are interested in any of it. 1. Complete Shires large bore tenor trombone. Unlacquered red brass 2GM bell. TW47GLW slide. Mr. Fisher picked this bell out of many, and it was never engraved and so it was never lacquered either. Shires Thayer valve, edge bracing. 2. Complete stock Benge 190 large-bore tenor trombone. Unlacquered bell was treated and annealed by Ron Pince. This horn also hand-picked by Mr. Fisher. Valve section and handslide still lacquered. 3. Edwards large bell tenor trombone bell #277. Red lacquered brass, has a few dings and some acid bleed around the edge. 4. Edwards large bell tenor trombone bell #301C. Red unlacquered brass, in great condition. 5. Bach 42 valve section. Stock rotor with custom open wrap by Chuck McAlexander of The Brass Lab. Does not have convertible mounting. 6. Stock Bach 36 rotor valve section. Does not currently have convertible mounting. 7. Bach 42 straight gooseneck section. Does not currently have convertible mounting. Has a very cool thumb hook from Chuck McAlexander. 8. Edwards large bore leadpipe. Sterling Silver "long". Apparently made before they started otherwise naming all of their leadpipes. 9. Edwards large bore tenor trombone hand slide #1. Says T-STD on sleeve, but has silver sleeves and silver crook. Comes with T1 and T2 leadpipes. Action is great as would be expected from an Edwards slide. 10. Edwards large bore tenor trombone hand slide #2. Says T-STD on sleeve, has brass sleeves and brass crook. Comes with T1 and T2 leadpipes. Great action here too. Mark and I have worked out rough prices for all of these things, but I am not listing them here. Please e-mail me directly for details or pictures. I am writing up Ebay listings for all of these things, so contact me soon if you are sincerely interested.
