No one I've spoken to has heard the song. Thanks to all who responded to my request for the music ("Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer") and especially Wayne D who sent me a brilliant set of changes (I, I, I, I, I). To Keith and anyone else who is interested in the bass trombone solo version, here is my arrangement for b.t. with string orchestra (synthesised of course, I couldn't afford the session fees for this many musicians). We are pleased to let you all know that "In Living Continuance," a new special release CD of music by Norman Bolter, is now available. This CD features the premiere recording of "Prayer," for trombone quartet and strings, performed by Norman, Darren Acosta, Jim Nova (tenor trombones) and Mark Cantrell (bass trombone), joined by prominent Boston area sting players. Two other works, "Onward" (trombone choir) and "The Archer" (tenor trombone duet), also appear on this CD. Since the total time for this recording is only ten minutes (originally created as a special tribute), we thought its public release might offer an affordable introduction for those new to Norman's music, since it is half the cost of our full length recordings. Of course, we hope that many folks familiar with Norman's work will be interested in hearing it to! To find out more, including how to order, please visit: http://www.air-ev.com/catalogue.html We will be releasing the printed music for "Prayer" in the near future. Music for "Onward" (from "On With the Battle of Life") and "The Archer" are already available at: http://www.air-ev.com/music.html Best wishes and happy holidays!
